How thick should the base be?
Sidewalks: 4 to 6 inches
Driveways: minimum of 12 inches
How much base, sand bed and joint sand will I need?
The sand bed should be 1” thick (make sure that the sand is dry). The average for a 100 sq. ft. area is 2 tons of base, .62 ton for bedding sand and 70 lbs. for joint sand.
Do I need to slope the pavers away from my house, and if so, how much?
Yes, in order to prevent drainage problems you will need at least a 1/4” drop per each foot.
How thick are pavers?
2 3/8” for most homeowner use, 3 1/8” for industrial pavers.
Do you have a display that shows colors and styles of pavers?
Yes, we have an outdoor display and brochures you may take with.
How do I secure the edge of the pavers so they won’t move?
The best products we’ve found to use are Pavetech edging or concrete retaining wall products. Wood will rot and move the joints of the pavers.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We have a flatbed semi with a forklift to set the product close to your work area.
