There are many different styles of retaining walls. In order to determine what kind of block to use and its correct placement, you will need to know how tall you would like to make your wall, what kind of soil you have (clay, sand or gravel), and if you plan to use the area on top of the wall (i.e., as a patio, a driveway, or greenspace). We have charts to show placement or go to www.keystonewalls.com.
How tall can I successfully make my wall with each block style?
In good soil conditions without the use of geogrid, you can expect the following:
Standard: 6 feet high
Compac: 3 feet high
Intermediate: 3 feet high
